Stop Stigma Pledge

Take the Pledge to reduce stigma and discrimination in our community

I pledge to reduce stigma and discrimination around mental illness by:

  • Educating myself and others about mental health and mental illness…
  • Removing words like “crazy” or “insane” from my vocabulary…
  • Being an ally to those who live with a mental illness or those who have a loved one who live with a mental illness…
  • Keeping an open mind about mental health conditions and the individuals who live with them…
  • Starting conversations to share my mental health experience or to listen to another person’s story…

in order to create a safe space for those living with a mental health condition in Sacramento County.
